VAX-D Decompression Therapy

Edmonton Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic is proud to introduce a possible alternative to surgery. VAX-D Decompression Therapy is an effective treatment for patients suffering from back pain or sciatica due to disc bulging, herniation, disc degeneration, or facet syndrome. With decompression we create a negative disc pressure to draw oxygen and water back into the disc and relieve pressure on structures that cause low back pain. It does this through the application of a number of internationally patented principles administered via an automated system incorporated in the design of the therapeutic table and control console. The cyclic application of distractive forces coupled with controlled relaxation phases, as applied with VAX-D Therapy, creates a vacuum effect through which the disc can be re-hydrated and receive nutrients for healing.
